Site to Site Connectivity

You’re only human, so we believe your IT Support should be too.

What is Site to Site Connectivity?

If your business works across multiple sites, you’ll need your own network that enables you to stay connected without compromising your valuable data. We offer a range of site-to-site solutions to give you peace of mind that your team will always be connected.

VPN services allow you to establish secure connections over a public network, e.g a site-to-site VPN might connect a local branch to the main network at company headquarters.

There are two main types of VPN – Intranet based and Extranet based:

  • Intranet-based VPNs allows you to set up a private network across multiple locations, connecting a LAN (Local Area Network) to a WAN (Wide Area Network)
  • Extranet-based VPNs are used when you have a close relationship with another organisation who allows you to connect via their LAN. This enables both parties to work in a shared environment, while maintaining their own privacy.

Multi-Protocol Label Switching is another way of routing traffic within a specific network. Data packets are directed through the network according to pre-assigned labels, allowing for a higher level of control and security. MPLS can provide applications including VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), traffic engineering (TE) and Quality of Service (QoS).

Deciding on the best site-to-site connectivity solution can be difficult if you are not an IT professional, so our team at Trusted IT will be happy to explain it all in detail so you can make an informed decision.
